Effective Advertisement: Molson Canadian | The Beer Fridge

Molson Canadians The Beer Fridge advertisement really entices me to purchase their beverages and at the same time makes me proud to be Canadian. By fortifying the idea that Canadians are friendly, generous people they are able to propagate this idea across the world and at the same time promote their product in new parts of the world. The ad starts with a mysterious red fridge appearing in various European locations (Canterbury, White Cliffs of Dover,Northern France). All that this red fridge shows is a white maple leaf and instructions saying it requires a Canadian passport in order to open it. Curiously locals begin to approach this fridge and try to open it with no avail, and begin to ask if anyone with a Canadian passport is in the area. Eventually a Canadian is the one who is able to open the fridge and inside there are chilled beers for everyone to enjoy. The fridges draw large curious crowds who are all pleased and begin sharing stories and beverages with everyone around them and people they don't know. This emphasizes the idea of Canadians people open and friendly no matter where they are in the world, which in return fortifies the positive image that Canadians project to others around them. Not only does this make Canadians proud of their country and want to purchase Molson Canadians products, but it also introduces Europeans to the type of beers that are enjoyed in North America. Overall I feel that this ad is excellent and makes me proud of my country and I feel that it will really encourage people to purchase Molson's products.
